Our team

Kate Kernaghan founded Factotum Communications after almost two decades in the NSW public sector where she experienced firsthand the typical pain points working with larger corporate consultants – including escalating costs, inconsistent quality, and high staff turnover.   And so Factotum was born, a bespoke communications consultancy with a small but exceptional collective of experienced professionals. She committed herself to offering clients a one stop shop that’s nimble, affordable, and creative in delivering elevated solutions.

Lower Murray Water provide water services to the north-west of Victoria along the Murray River – from Kerang to the South Australian border. This includes both treated and raw water for a regional economy that generates $2.788 billion in GDP annually.

Mallee Catchment Management Authority

Mallee CMA’s primary responsibility is to ensure that natural resources in the region are managed in an integrated and ecologically sustainable way. The Mallee CMA region covers 3.9 million hectares – about one fifth of Victoria.

IAP2 Australasia

IAP2 Australasia is an affiliate of the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2). IAP2’s aim is to advance the community engagement profession by providing training in, and communicating the principles of, public participation and how to achieve effective community and stakeholder engagement (or public participation).

Forestry Corporation

Forestry Corporation of NSW manages two million hectares of State forests in NSW. As part of this work, they manage community access, environmental conservation, fire management, pest and weed control, road access, primary production such as grazing and apiary, and sustainable timber production.
